When Iesha first came to the Alexandria Boxing Club, she chose to watch from the sidelines and read a book while other athletes trained. Eventually she stepped in to the ring herself and she’s enjoyed nothing but success since. The honor student, violinist and accomplished softball player has built quite the resume since choosing to take up the sweet science. Kenney has gone on to win national titles at the junior and youth level and even enjoyed success internationally. She took a bronze medal at the first-ever Women’s Junior and Youth World Championships last year and hopes to add another international medal to her trophy case at the 2015 event. She credits Coach Koroma’s belief in her as her biggest inspiration to be successful in the ring.
